THE PROBLEM
After a highly publicised merger with global software giant Schneider Electric, Aveva needed to integrate two complex companies both with differing technology landscapes, systems and processes, in parallel to modernising their existing technology platforms.
There was a stringent 14-month timeline to deliver the solution, to best capitalise on a substantial shareholder dividend, which would have been jeopardised if the technical deadline was missed. In addition, there were elements of both legacy solutions that were in desperate need of modernisation, so this programmatic element was also executed at the time of integration.
